I'm looking for 5 Shopify store owners or e-commerce managers to beta test BurnTrack — an AI-powered cash flow and financial management tool built specifically for small e-commerce businesses. This is a short, paid engagement. You'll test the app and submit written feedback within 24-48 hours of being hired.
What BurnTrack does:
BurnTrack connects to Shopify (and optionally QuickBooks) to automatically sync your orders, revenue, expenses, and product data — then gives you real-time cash flow visibility, runway forecasting, and an AI financial advisor called Ember. Ember acts like a CFO on call. You can ask it questions like "Can I afford to hire someone?", "Which products should I cut?", or "What's my biggest cash risk right now?" — and it responds using your actual business data in real time.
What you'll be testing:
1. Signup and onboarding — How smooth is the setup process? Is anything confusing?
2. Shopify integration — Connect your store (live, test, or sandbox store all fine) and verify data syncs correctly
3. Dashboard tabs — Overview, Forecasting, Products, and Analysis — does the data make sense? Is it useful?
4. Ember AI sidebar — This is the core feature. Ask it financial questions, test the Decision Tracker (ask Ember "should I hire someone?" and see what it produces), try the conversation starters
5. Scenario planning — Test "what if revenue drops 20%?" and similar forecasts
6. Mobile experience — Check the app on your phone
7. QuickBooks connection (optional but appreciated) — Connect a QuickBooks sandbox or trial account if you have one
Tier assignments:
I'll assign each tester to a specific plan tier so I get feedback across the full product:
2-3 testers → Business tier ($149/mo value) — full access including QuickBooks, 12-month forecasting, Decision Tracker
1-2 testers → Professional tier ($79/mo value) — 90-day forecasting, unlimited AI, scenario planning
1 tester → Starter tier ($29/mo value) — 30-day forecasting, Shopify only, 5 AI insights/month

What I need from you — your feedback report must cover:
1. Ember AI (most important)
- Did Ember's responses feel useful and accurate to your data?
- Did it feel like talking to a real financial advisor or a generic chatbot?
- Did you try the Decision Tracker? What did you think?
Any responses that felt off, wrong, or unhelpful?
2. Core features
- Cash flow dashboard — does your data display correctly and make sense?
- Forecasting — does the runway/forecast feel accurate and useful?
- Expense and revenue tracking — easy to use? Anything missing?
- Product analysis tab — useful insights or just noise?
3. Integrations
- How smooth was the Shopify connection?
- Did your data sync correctly?
- If you tested QuickBooks — how did that go?
4. Overall usability
- What was confusing on first use?
- What did you have to figure out on your own that should have been obvious?
- How does the mobile experience feel?
- Anything that felt broken or incomplete?
5. Value and pricing
- Knowing the price points ($29/$79/$149/month), would you pay for this?
- Which tier feels worth it for your business?
- What would make this a must-have vs a nice-to-have?
6. Bugs
- List anything that didn't work, with steps to reproduce if possible
Free-form notes are fine — no specific format required. Just make sure all 6 areas above are addressed. The more specific and honest the better. "This is bad because X" is more useful than "looks good."
Ideal candidate:
- Actively runs or manages a Shopify store, OR works as a Shopify VA/e-commerce manager with access to a test or sandbox store
- Comfortable with OAuth integrations (standard Shopify login flow)
- Basic familiarity with business financials (revenue, expenses, cash flow concepts)
- Available to complete testing and submit feedback within 24-48 hours of hire
