We are seeking a Senior IBMi (AS/400) Developer to join the Application Managed Services team. This role requires a subject matter expert with strong experience in legacy systems, capable of handling full lifecycle development, technical documentation, and complex problem-solving in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test applications in the IBMi (AS/400) environment
- Create and maintain detailed technical design documents and specifications
- Analyze and enhance existing applications using modern methodologies
- Provide technical leadership and mentor junior developers
- Collaborate across teams to resolve complex technical issues
- Contribute to architecture decisions and system improvements
- Maintain and enhance core business logic using RPG, CLLE, and COBOL
Required Skills (Top 3 Must-Have)
- RPGLE / RPG – 5+ years
- CLLE – 5+ years
- DB2/400 SQL – 5+ years
Additional Desired Skills
- AS/400 COBOL (Advanced proficiency)
- Agile methodology experience
- Experience with bug tracking/reporting tools
- IBM System i (AS/400) RPG III
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
