Job Summary

The Senior Director of Sales, APAC will lead a team of sales professionals to create and deliver revenue for Oxford Nanopore Technologies within the region. They will be responsible, along with the VP APAC Commercial and Sr Regional Commercial team, for creating and delivering the strategic business plan for APAC. Focusing on defining and implementing a sales strategy for APAC to set regional sales targets, manage tactical and operational delivery of the company agreed targets in industrial, clinical and academic research life sciences accounts.

Key responsibilities

With a proven track record in genomic life sciences and clinical across early stage and established organizations, we seek a team player who understands disruptive strategy and will drive the activities required to take ONT to the next stage of commercial growth. This role will have leadership and overall line management responsibility for the APAC sales team (e.g. ANZ, Greater China, SEA, Japan), including field and inside sales with around 30 people. In additional this role will act as the commercial lead for APAC, representing ONT’s broader strategic interests in the region where required in the marketplace. This role will work cross-functionally both regionally and globally to ensure that the activities of Marketing, Applications and Market Development teams are aligned with the sales activities to meet and exceed commercial expectations. To achieve these goals this role will be required to undertake regional travel, and be based within the Region.
