Our client, a global leader in consulting and business transformation, is seeking an accomplished S/4HANA Order-to-Cash (OTC) Transformation Lead for a long-term contract engagement. This is a senior, hands-on role responsible for leading the design, build, testing, and deployment of large-scale business transformations enabled by SAP S/4HANA.
The ideal candidate brings deep functional expertise across the OTC value chain, proven experience in architecting and delivering S/4HANA solutions, and the leadership presence to direct cross-functional program teams. This position requires both hands-on delivery and strong leadership capabilities. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills are essential to collaborate effectively with individual team members, program leadership, and senior client stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Program Leadership & Delivery
- Lead the end-to-end OTC workstream for a major S/4HANA transformation, from discovery through deployment and post-production stabilization.
- Serve as the primary S/4HANA OTC solution architect, driving global design decisions and ensuring alignment with enterprise standards.
- Direct day-to-day activities of consulting teams, client team members, and offshore/onshore delivery partners.
- Manage program deliverables, timelines, risks, and dependencies across functional, technical, and integration teams.
Solution Architecture & Design
- Lead the design of the S/4HANA OTC solution, including Sales Order Management, Pricing, ATP, Delivery & Logistics, Invoicing, Credit Management, and integration with Finance, EWM/TM, Procurement, and external systems.
- Develop global templates, localization strategies, and end-to-end process flows aligned with best practices and client requirements.
- Define functional specifications, integration designs, and testing strategies in collaboration with technical and cross-functional teams.
Hands-On Build, Testing & Deployment
- Perform hands-on configuration of S/4HANA OTC components as needed to support program delivery.
- Oversee and participate in functional unit testing, SIT, UAT, cutover planning, and deployment activities.
- Partner with data, integration, testing, and PMO teams to ensure readiness across all deployment gates.
- Direct resolution of complex functional issues and guide teams through problem-solving and root-cause analysis.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a key liaison between delivery teams and executive stakeholders, providing clear, concise, and timely communication.
- Facilitate design workshops, leadership-level decision forums, and cross-functional alignment sessions.
- Present solution options, trade-offs, and recommendations to client leadership.
- Build trusted relationships with global process owners, program leads, and business SMEs.
Coaching, Enablement & Leadership
- Operate as a player/coach, guiding and mentoring consultants and client resources while contributing hands-on delivery expertise.
- Uphold delivery excellence, quality standards, and disciplined use of SAP Activate methodology.
- Provide insights to continuously improve solution quality, delivery velocity, and team effectiveness.
Requirements
- 10+ years of SAP OTC experience with at least two S/4HANA transformation programs in a lead or architect role.
- Deep expertise in S/4HANA OTC processes, configuration, integration points, and end-to-end supply chain interactions.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional program teams in large, complex global environments.
- Hands-on capability to support design, configuration, testing, and deployment activities.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Demonstrated success operating as a player/coach in high-pressure, fast-moving program environments.
- Ability and willingness to travel based on client needs.
- Location: Remote (USA / Canada) – EST Hours
