ABOUT THE ROLE
Rainwater CPA is hiring a Sales Development Representative to qualify inbound leads and book consultations for our sales team. You’ll be on the phone with entrepreneurs and high-net-worth business owners who are actively looking for tax planning help — qualifying fast, booking clean, and moving to the next one.
This is a phone-first, high-energy role. You’ll work with warm inbound leads generated by our marketing team, qualify them against specific criteria, and hand off the best opportunities to our Account Executives. If you thrive in fast-paced environments where daily activity is tracked and top performers are recognized — this is your lane.

You’ll make high-volume calls every day. Some prospects won’t pick up. Some will say “not interested” before you finish your sentence. Your bookings, show rate, and daily activity are tracked on a scoreboard. There’s nowhere to hide behind email or “busy work.”

COMPENSATION
• Base: $2,000/month
• Per Appointment: $300 per qualified appointment set
• OTE: $5,000–$8,000/month ($60K–$96K annually)
• Uncapped commissions — your earning power scales with your output

WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Conduct high-volume inbound prospecting via phone and AI texting platform daily
• Qualify prospects against budget, authority, need, and timeline criteria in under 5 minutes per call
• Book qualified consultations directly onto AE calendars
• Maintain a show rate that proves you’re qualifying, not just booking
• Log every call in CRM with accurate notes and dispositions — no ghost leads
• Hit daily and weekly activity KPIs tracked on a team scoreboard
• Collaborate with sales and marketing to refine targeting and messaging
YOUR FIRST 90 DAYS
• Week 1–2: Product training on Rainwater CPA’s tax planning services, shadow experienced team members, learn the qualifying script and CRM workflow
• Week 3–4: Live calls with coaching support — target 10+ qualified bookings per week
• Month 2: Independent call block — hitting daily KPI targets, show rate above 70%
• Month 3: Consistent top-half performer on the team scoreboard, contributing to script optimization
WHO YOU ARE
• 1+ year of phone-based sales, appointment setting, or lead qualification experience
• You thrive on volume — 50+ conversations a day doesn’t scare you, it energizes you
• Competitive — you check the scoreboard before lunch
• Comfortable qualifying business owners on financial topics (tax experience not required — we train you)
• Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot, GoHighLevel, Salesforce, or similar)
• Based in US or Canada, available 8am–5pm CST
SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE
• Booking rate consistently in the top 3 on the team
• Show rate proves you’re qualifying properly, not just filling calendars
• AEs actively want your transfers because your bookings are clean
