They are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to oversee the development of Docker's Agent Platform, focusing on AI adoption at scale and managing a distributed team of engineers.
Responsibilities
• Lead a geographically distributed team of engineers across Europe and North America
• Build and operate highly scalable, reliable, and performant services
• Align the team with business and product goals by working closely with product management and engineering leadership
• Take active ownership of your team members’ development, growth, and performance
• Ensure predictable delivery and operational excellence of the components the team ships
• Facilitate communication across teams and status reporting for critical projects
• Hire and retain talent
• Hold a high bar for engineering excellence
Skills
• Proven experience managing engineering teams building and operating large-scale SaaS or platform services
• Deep familiarity with cloud architecture, scalability, reliability, and observability best practices
• Experience leading agile, remote engineering teams
• Comfortable with a high degree of autonomy (self-motivated, organized)
• Obsession with enabling engineers to do great work and delivering value to customers
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience or strong interest in AI/ML systems
