[Remote] Sales Director Commercial and Industrial

Virginia Transformer Corp is the largest U.S.-owned producer of power transformers in North America, and they are seeking a Sales Director for their Commercial & Industrial segment. This role will lead business development, account management, and sales execution for non-utility customers, driving growth and ensuring alignment with corporate objectives. Responsibilities • Develop and execute a national sales strategy for the C&I segment, targeting industrial, commercial, and data center clients • Lead and mentor a team of Key Account Managers and Business Development Managers to achieve growth and margin objectives • Build and manage strategic relationships with large industrial customers, EPCs, OEMs, and commercial developers • Partner with Applications Engineering, Project Management, and Operations to ensure proposal accuracy, technical alignment, and on-time project delivery • Oversee contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and long-term agreements that optimize profitability and customer satisfaction • Identify emerging trends and customer needs within the data center, manufacturing, and industrial infrastructure markets • Coordinate with Marketing and Product Development teams to align offerings with market opportunities • Track performance metrics, forecast revenue, and present regular updates to executive leadership • Represent Virginia Transformer at major industry events, trade shows, and customer forums to enhance brand visibility Skills • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA preferred) • 10+ years of sales and account leadership experience in power systems, electrical equipment, or transformer markets, with at least 5 years leading a regional or national team • Demonstrated success managing multimillion-dollar accounts across commercial, data center, and industrial sectors • Strong understanding of power distribution systems, switchgear, and transformer design principles • Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and customer relationship management skills • Proficiency with CRM systems and data-driven sales reporting tools • Willingness to travel up to 50% across key customer regions • MBA preferred Benefits • Full benefits package including health, retirement, and travel programs.
