They are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to lead remote engagements for affordable housing entities and mentor junior auditors while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Responsibilities
• Lead remote engagements for affordable housing entities, including LIHTC partnerships and HUD-subsidized properties
• Perform and review audits and financial statements for:
• Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) partnerships
• HUD programs
• State and local housing agencies
• Mentor and develop senior and staff auditors, providing technical guidance specific to affordable housing and real estate audits
• Stay current on HUD guidance, AICPA audit standards, and regulatory changes
Skills
• 5-7+ years of public accounting experience
• At least 1+ years of Supervisor or Management experience
• Strong focus on Affordable Housing / Real Estate audits
• Working knowledge of GAAS, Uniform Guidance/Single Audits/HUD audit requirements
• Experience managing engagements through the full lifecycle
• Ability to work independently in a 100% remote environment
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related
• Active CPA
