[Remote] People Technology Consultant (Oracle HCM Consultant)

Magnit Global is seeking a seasoned Oracle HCM consultant to lead a critical strategic assessment and optimization initiative within their People Technology function. This role requires deep functional and technical expertise in Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM to evaluate complex system configurations and deliver actionable recommendations aligned with organizational strategy. Responsibilities • Conduct comprehensive review of Oracle HCM instance configuration across all deployed modules • Evaluate current state designs against Oracle best practices and industry standards • Assess system configuration effectiveness in meeting business requirements and user needs • Identify configuration gaps, redundancies, and opportunities for optimization • Analyze how current configurations support (or hinder) People team strategic objectives • Review integration architecture and data flows between Oracle HCM and connected enterprise systems • Evaluate security model, role structures, and access control configurations • Document current state configurations, business rules, and design rationale • Develop detailed recommendations for system optimization across short, medium, and long-term horizons • Prioritize recommendations based on business impact, technical complexity, and resource requirements • Create implementation roadmaps with phased approaches for complex improvements • Provide effort estimates and resource needs for recommended changes • Identify quick wins and immediate optimization opportunities • Articulate business cases for recommended improvements with expected benefits and ROI • Adapt recommendations based on organizational strategy, priorities, and constraints • Present findings and recommendations to leadership and stakeholder groups • Partner with People team leaders to understand business objectives, pain points, and requirements • Facilitate discovery sessions with HR Business Partners, Compensation, Talent, and other stakeholders • Provide expert guidance on Oracle HCM capabilities and best practice approaches • Advise on change management considerations for recommended improvements • Support decision-making processes with subject matter expertise and industry insights • Collaborate with IT, HRIT, and other technical teams on integration and infrastructure considerations • Serve as trusted advisor to People Technology leadership throughout engagement • Create comprehensive assessment documentation including findings, analysis, and recommendations • Develop configuration documentation for current state and proposed future state • Document business process flows and system touch points • Create presentation materials for various stakeholder audiences • Provide knowledge transfer to internal People Technology team • Develop decision frameworks and evaluation criteria for ongoing optimization efforts Skills • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; OR equivalent work experience (6+ years in Oracle HCM consulting/implementation roles may substitute for degree) • Minimum 5+ years hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion HCM in implementation, configuration, or consulting capacity • Proven experience leading or contributing to multiple full-lifecycle Oracle HCM implementations • Demonstrated experience conducting system assessments, optimization reviews, or post-implementation evaluations • Experience developing recommendations and roadmaps for complex enterprise systems • Core HR module (deep expertise required): Person, Employment, Assignment data model and complex relationships, Work relationship types, legal employer structures, and global configurations, Organization hierarchies: Location, Department, Job, Position, Grade structures, Legislative Data Groups (LDG), legal entities, and multi-country configurations, Personal information, contact management, and data privacy considerations, Fast Formulas and configuration design patterns • Time and Absence module (deep expertise required): Absence plans, policies, and accrual configurations, Time entry and approval workflows, Time calculation rules and repeating time periods, Integration with payroll and workforce management, Absence qualification plans and eligibility rules, Absence cases and leave of absence tracking • Compensation module (deep expertise required): Salary basis, salary components, and pay structures, Compensation plans (individual, workforce, total compensation statements), Grade structures, salary ranges, and pay equity configurations, Eligibility profiles and plan enrollment rules, Variable compensation plans (bonus, commission, equity), Compensation worksheets and approval workflows, Budget pools and merit planning processes • Oracle HCM architecture and technical foundations: Security model: RBAC, data security policies, security profiles, role provisioning, Integration patterns and approaches (OIC, FBDI, web services, etc.), Data model relationships across modules, Workflow and approval configurations (BPM Worklist), Personalization and page composer capabilities, Fast Formula development and troubleshooting • Strategic thinking - ability to connect system capabilities to business outcomes and organizational strategy • Business acumen - understanding of HR operations, compliance requirements, and People function objectives • Assessment methodology - structured approach to evaluating complex systems and identifying improvement opportunities • Recommendation development - can synthesize findings into clear, actionable, prioritized recommendations • Stakeholder management - skilled at engaging diverse audiences, facilitating discussions, and building consensus • Presentation skills - ability to communicate technical concepts and recommendations to executive and non-technical audiences • Adaptability - can adjust recommendations based on organizational constraints, priorities, and strategic direction • Influence without authority - effective at guiding decision-making through expertise and relationship-building • Documentation - creates clear, comprehensive, and professional documentation for various audiences • Project management - able to manage engagement activities, timelines, and deliverables independently Company Overview • Magnit™ (formerly PRO Unlimited) is a global leader and pioneer in contingent workforce management.
