Parallel is seeking licensed Early Childhood Special Education Teachers in Illinois to join our network of compassionate, remote educators supporting students. If you’re passionate about helping young learners with learning differences reach their potential, we’d love to connect.
What You’ll Do
• Provide remote special education instruction and support
• Work with students needing extra academic help, compensatory education, or out-of-school learning support
• Develop and implement individualized lesson plans aligned with student needs and IEP goals
• Maintain case management and accurate documentation
• Collaborate with families and school teams to adapt instruction and schedules
• Conduct screenings, progress monitoring, and educational assessments
• Guide caregivers with strategies and tools to support learning at home
• Document sessions according to organizational practices
What You’ll Need
• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL), with an Early Childhood Special Education (Self-Contained General and Special Education) Endorsement for Birth–Grade 3
• Experience supporting diverse learners in educational settings
• Familiarity with structured literacy programs (e.g., Orton-Gillingham, Wilson)
• Ability to adapt instruction to different learning styles
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Comfort using virtual platforms for teaching and communication
• Reliable internet, computer, webcam, and quiet workspace
• Fluency in other languages is a plus but not required
