Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The Accounting Clerk will maintain financial records, process transactions, and assist the accounting department to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Assist with customer invoicing by attaching packing slips for proof of delivery-communicating with plant dispatch for signed packing slips
- Request Certificates of Insurance (COI) for jobs, as needed
- Resolve blocked billing invoices by researching issue and correcting items in SAP
- Run bi-weekly planned cost report for manufacturing cost visibility
- Assist in the month-end closing process
- Assist in data cleansing activities in SAP
- Assist in researching and resolving Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) issues
- Assist in researching and actioning items with receipts posted but not an invoice
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
Skills
- High School diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Knowledge of basic accounting math and accurate in data entry with 10-key operation experience
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience using a complex ERP system (SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, etc.)
- Strong organizational and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, in-person and by telephone
- Attention to detail around producing high quality products and meeting deadlines
- SAP experience, preferred
- Prior experience in a manufacturing company a plus
