We are seeking a motivated Real Estate Appraiser Trainee to join our team in Missouri through a structured, one-year mentorship program designed to put you on the path toward Residential Appraiser Certification.
This is a hands-on, paid position focused on real-world training, professional development, and long-term career growth in the appraisal profession.
What You’ll Do
• Assist Certified Residential Appraisers with property inspections
• Collect, verify, and analyze real estate market data
• Learn appraisal methodology, USPAP compliance, and report writing
• Help prepare residential appraisal reports under supervision
• Participate in ongoing training and feedback sessions
• Build qualifying experience hours toward Residential Certification
Mentorship Program
• One-on-one mentorship with experienced appraisers
• Exposure to a wide variety of residential property types
• Structured learning path covering valuation theory, market analysis, and reporting
• Support through the licensing and certification process
What We’re Looking For
• Strong interest in a long-term career in real estate appraisal
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
• Comfortable working independently and in the field
• Professional communication skills (written and verbal)
• Proficient with basic technology (email, spreadsheets, software)
• Ability to obtain a Missouri Appraiser Trainee license (or currently enrolled)
Required
• Coursework toward Missouri Appraiser Trainee license
• Bachelor's Degree in any field
• Associates Degree in real estate, business administration, accounting, finance or economics.
Preferred
• Background in real estate, finance, data analysis, or related fields
• Familiarity with Excel or similar tools
