Productivity Engineering Lead

As Ninety continues to experience exceptional growth, we are looking to bring on an Engineering Lead who will lead multiple engineering teams and who will report to the Head of Product Engineering.

As the Productivity Tribe Engineering Lead, you will be at the forefront of driving our software development and delivery processes. The Productivity Tribe efforts represent one of the highest impact product areas within Ninety across the desktop and mobile platforms. This role demands a highly skilled generalist proficient in multiple programming languages and tech stacks, with a strong focus on SaaS operations and building distributed systems. You will be responsible for leading a team of engineers, ensuring daily software delivery to production, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and performance.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Mentorship: Lead a team of software engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to drive their professional growth and productivity.
   
• Technical Excellence: Oversee the design, development, and deployment of software solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices in coding, architecture, and security.
   
• Daily Deliverables: Drive a culture of continuous delivery, ensuring that software is delivered to production on a daily basis.
   
• Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
   
• Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve technical challenges related to distributed systems and SaaS operations, employing a proactive and innovative approach.
• Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce robust testing and quality assurance processes to maintain the reliability and scalability of software systems.
   
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor and optimize the performance of applications, ensuring they meet SLAs and user expectations.
   
• Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to enhance team efficiency and software quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Proven experience as a software engineer with a strong track record of delivering high-quality software.
• Expertise in multiple programming languages and tech stacks, with a strong understanding of cloud-native architectures.
• Advanced skills with front-end architectures and cross-platform or native mobile development experience
• Experience in building and operating distributed systems and SaaS applications.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a results-driven mindset.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
