**Your Day at arenaflex**
As a Customer Service Associate in our Tool Rental department, you'll be responsible for:
* **Welcoming customers**: Greet customers, answer questions, and deliver friendly and professional customer service.
* **Assisting customers**: Help customers locate and handle merchandise, including loading merchandise as needed.
* **Maintaining a clean and organized store**: Down stock merchandise by looking for empty areas on shelves and replenishing supplies.
* **Processing orders and deliveries**: Ensure accurate processing of orders and deliveries, so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time.
* **Cross-functionally training**: Train in other areas of the store to help deliver the best customer service.
* **Preparing merchandise**: Prepare merchandise in your department based on customer needs, such as tinting and mixing paint, cutting and threading pipe, cutting and bundling wood, cutting drywall, and cutting blinds.
* **Guiding customers**: Guide customers through shopping or checkout, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience.
* **Completing other duties**: Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor or team leader.

**Minimum Qualifications**
To be considered for this role, you'll need:
* **6 months of computer experience**: You should have experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
* **6 months of retail technology experience**: You should have experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
* **Basic arithmetic and reading/writing skills**: You should be able to perform basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction) and read, write, and communicate effectively.
* **Physical abilities**: You should be able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.
* **Lifting requirements**: You should be able to minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation.
**Preferred Qualifications**
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
* **6 months of retail and/or customer service experience**: You should have experience working in retail or customer service, which can help you develop the skills and knowledge needed for this role.
* **Bi-lingual skills**: You should be able to communicate effectively in multiple languages, which can help you serve a diverse customer base.
* **Trade-related certification**: You should have certification in a trade related to your department, such as hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, or lumber/building materials.

**Travel Requirements**
This role does not require regular travel; however, you may need to travel occasionally to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores.
**Working Conditions**
Environmental factors vary by location, and you may be working in both inside and outside weather conditions. Exposure to varying climates, including extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions, is possible. You may be exposed to constant or intermittent noises in addition to moving or shaking objects and equipment.
**Lifting Methods**
Lifting methods vary based on role, weight, and volume. Associates must follow guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds. Team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment should be used as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.
