The Paralegal at GFT will provide essential legal support to the legal team by assisting with research, documentation, and compliance tasks. This role requires a detail-oriented and organized individual who can manage multiple legal projects while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and briefs.
- Conduct legal research and summarize findings for the legal team.
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and meetings.
- Manage case files and ensure all relevant documentation is organized and accessible.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties as required.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with legal deadlines and reporting requirements.
- Provide administrative support to the legal team as needed.
- Assist in drafting and reviewing legal correspondence and memos.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 2+ years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Proficient in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Willing to work remote and US hours (PST or EST).
