Maintains accurate inventories of all materials. Works directly under the supervision of Huhtamaki management. Essential Functions Observe all Huhtamaki safety rules and use safe working methods and procedures at all times to avoid injury, injury to co-workers, or damage to company property. Move material through facility with the use of material handling equipment (i.e., forklift, pallet jack, clamp truck, etc.) as required. Participate in Continuous Improvement events and teams. Use the computer to dispense and receive information such as product codes, part numbers, quantities, locations, comments, etc. Complete paperwork to properly document work performed. Load and unload trucks. Conduct material audits. General housekeeping in production or warehouse departments. Maintain department cleanliness to AIB standards. Operate Material handling equipment. Participate in SQF Housekeeping and Food Safety Programs. Provide plant housekeeping support. Other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications Required Requires basic educational level background normally acquired through the completion of high school level programs leading to a diploma or equivalent The ability to read, understand and comprehend written or oral instruction and the ability to communicate effectively with others. Requires near/far acuity and color vision. Must be able to work with little supervision. Preferred Environment Employee works in a manufacturing environment.Individual will work a set schedule including regular weekend work.Requires standing (40%), sitting (40%), with occasional walking (10%).Requires twisting at waist, bending/stooping, squatting/kneeling.Incumbent will lift up to 30 lbs. on a regular basis and lift/carry more than 40 lbs. occasionally.Requires reaching at, above and below shoulder level.
