In-Office Processor - PRN

Summary The PRN In-Office Processor is available to work, as needed, to cover a shift(s) for another In-Office Processor that is unable to fulfill part of their regular schedule. The PRN IOP will follow all instructions for the proper handling of all specimen types.  He/she will process the samples for transport to the laboratory in a timely manner. This position will assist in covering customer facilities in south Alabama.  Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. - Must follow all Specimen Processor Agreement directives. - Will properly identify specimens. - Will follow instructions to correctly fill out requisition form. - Will make sure that specimens are shipped to the laboratory in a timely fashion. - Communicate to the IOP Manager for any issues related to time & attendance or operational questions within the client location. - Be friendly, and courteous to office staff. - Maintain a safe work environment for his or herself and the patients by following all safety precautions. - Will properly label specimens. Correctly and completely fill out requisition forms with the required information. - Keep work area clean and organized at all times. - Must be available for regional travel to customer facilities. - Must be able to adapt to working in clinic environments that vary in size, structure, and specialty. - Maintain the current workflow and processes of the facility where they are filling in     Competencies - Communication Proficiency. - Time Management. - Collaboration Skills. - Personal Effectiveness/Credibility. - Flexibility. - Technical Capacity. - Stress Management/Composure. - Positive Attitude. Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment This role works in a physician’s office, as a Compass employee, processing specimens to be sent to the laboratory. This role will work in various customer facilities across the region. Position Type This can be a full-time or part-time position.
