About the position
Responsibilities
• Provide direct 1:1 ABA therapy to children with Autism.
• Implement and collect data on behavioral skill acquisition, behavior reduction, and functional living protocols.
• Assist with parent and caregiver training in line with client's individualized protocols.
• Assist Lead RBTs and BCBAs with skill acquisition and behavior reduction assessments and preparing client materials as instructed.
• Effectively communicate with parents and caregivers regarding client progress as instructed by the BCBA.
• Utilize safe and appropriate handling procedures when working with clients.
• Collaborate with treatment team members.
• Maintain client dignity and confidentiality.
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, or related field.
• Ability to accept constructive feedback and develop knowledge and skill sets.
• Optimal time management and communication skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships.
• Ability to multi-task in an efficient/timely manner.
• Ability to adhere to organizational policies and procedures and abide by the code of ethics as indicated by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
• Ability to interpret and implement clinical protocols.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must have reliable transportation and be willing and able to travel between different job sites if needed.
Nice-to-haves
• Experience working with children ages 0-16 in a 1:1 setting.
• Experience implementing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.
