About the Role: Utilization Management Nurse Associate LPN/LVN
We're seeking an experienced Utilization Management Nurse Associate LPN/LVN to join our team on a remote basis. As a Utilization Management Nurse Associate, you'll play a critical role in coordinating, documenting, and communicating all aspects of our utilization/benefit management program. This is a fantastic opportunity to leverage your clinical skills and experience to make a meaningful impact on our patients' lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize clinical skills to coordinate, document, and communicate all aspects of the utilization/benefit management program.
- Support comprehensive coordination of medical services through composition and auditing of approval, extensions, and denial letters.
- Promote and support quality effectiveness of healthcare services.
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation to meet risk management, regulatory, and accreditation requirements.
- Promote communication, both internally and externally, to enhance the effectiveness of medical management services.
- Work in a typical office environment with productivity and quality expectations, involving periods of sitting, talking, listening, and typing on a computer.
- Multitask, prioritize, and effectively adapt to a fast-paced changing environment.
Essential Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience as a LPN/LVN.
- Active, current, and unrestricted LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse) or LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) licensure in your state of residence.
- 1+ year of clinical experience.
- 1+ year of Microsoft Suites experience.
- Willingness and ability to work Monday through Friday, 11:00am to 8:00pm EST.
- Willingness and ability to work occasional holidays and weekends depending on business needs.
- Proficiency with computer skills, including navigating multiple systems and keyboarding.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Utilization management experience.
- Managed care experience.
- Team player with excellent communication skills.
- Good grammar and syntax.
- Ability to multitask.
- Schedule flexibility.
Education:
LPN Diploma required; Associate's degree in nursing as LPN/LVN preferred.
