Role Description Hydro Resources Holding Inc. is looking for an estimator to join our growing team and company. This position is a remote position with daily video conferencing meetings. The estimator will solicit suppliers and subcontractors for all materials, supplies and services necessary to estimate a project. Estimator will work closely with operations to put labor costs together with materials, supplies, and services. This position will support multiple locations in preparing and reviewing thorough and detailed estimates. • Review assigned specifications and plans in their entirety pertaining to project. • Note points impacting scheduling, costs, liabilities, and responsibilities for Hydro Resources. • Address key points with Hydro Resources’ teams. • Work in conjunction with Hydro Resources’ operations teams and pertinent people in all locations to receive operational input. • Maintain open lines of communication with Business Development, Operations, Estimating team and Executive Management, as necessary. • Perform bid take-offs and gather all costs for items pertaining to project. • Communicate all specifications with vendors/suppliers/subcontractors for accurate estimation. • Receive multiple quotes from various vendors and subcontractors to assemble the most complete and competitive cost for Hydro Resources proposal. • Develop working relationships with vendors and subcontractors to build rapport and a teaming relationship to produce the best results in a competitive market. • Continually seek out new vendors/suppliers/subcontractors. • Qualify products and lead times to deliver and perform the best product. • Build estimating spreadsheet with operational input and acquired quotations in a timely manner to allow for strategy considerations. • Manage project cost reviews with Hydro Resources teams. • Assist with project set-up, purchasing, product submittals, and as built drawings. • Aid with estimates involving change orders. • Document all assumptions while assembling estimates. • Perform semiannual and quarterly reviews as assigned to determine varying costs of ongoing and completed projects. • Perform other job duties as assigned. Qualifications • 8-10 years of industry experience. • Intermediate understanding of accounting principles. • Proficient with Microsoft 365 programs including SharePoint, Excel, Word, Project, Adobe, Etc. • Proficient in CRM and SL. • MUST be transparent and honest. • MUST be a team player and willing to help where help is needed. • Excellent written and verbal communication and people skills. • Excellent organizational skills. • Ability to perform under elevated levels of pressure with extremely tight deadlines. • Strong understanding of IFP, RFP, RFQ and contract language. • Self-motivated independent thinker with ability to think creatively and solve problems. • Willing to travel when necessary.
