Role Description
This role involves working alongside passionate caregivers to provide patient-first healthcare within the Oncology/Hematology Specialty Pharmacy.
• Collaborate with pharmacists, nurses, pharmacy technicians, physicians, and payor partners to ensure timely access to specialty oncology medications and high-quality patient care.
• Review oncology medication orders and support oral chemotherapy and anticancer workflows.
• Provide patient counseling and education.
• Answer drug information questions and conduct patient outreach and follow-up.
• Work rotating 8-hour shifts between 7:00am and 6:00pm, Monday through Friday.
• No weekend requirements or major holidays; on-call expectations are present.
Qualifications
• PharmD or Bachelor’s of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited college of Pharmacy.
• Current State licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible for reciprocation in current state within 90 days of hire.
• For individuals required to administer immunizations, Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross and completion of a Board of Pharmacy approved course in the administration of immunizations or certification obtained within 90 days of hire are required.

• Provide safe, efficient, patient-centered, evidence-based medication services.
• Verify medication orders and/or dispense medications accurately according to state and federal regulations.
• Document services in a complete, accurate, and timely manner.
• Actively contribute to medication safety initiatives.
• Ensure all pharmacy operations are in compliance with national accreditation standards.
• Direct staff appropriately to provide safe and efficient care and maintain professional working relationships with all caregivers.
• Educate and train students, residents, other caregivers, and/or patients.
