Chalmers Rosetta Languages is a mission-driven language service provider trusted by schools, city governments, and nonprofits across Massachusetts. We're known for our responsiveness, clarity, and human-first approach to interpretation and translation. As we expand our translator and reviser network, we're seeking certified, experienced linguists to join us as Vendor Evaluators assessing test submissions from applicants hoping to join our elite pool. About the Role You will be responsible for evaluating translation and revision test submissions from new applicants. Using a structured evaluation rubric provided by Rosetta, you'll score, tag, and comment on each test. Your evaluations will help us maintain the high standards our clients count on from public agencies to community organizers. ️ Key Responsibilities - Review candidate submissions for translation and/or revision quality - Apply a predefined evaluation rubric consistently across tests - Assign quality scores or tags to each applicant - Deliver short written notes when applicable to clarify issues or decisions - Submit evaluations in a timely manner via Rosetta's preferred platform (Google Forms or similar) Requirements - ATA, CIOL, NAATI, or equivalent internationally recognized certification - Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a translator and/or reviser - Deep understanding of language accuracy, tone, nuance, and register - Ability to apply objective quality assessment to written language samples - Strong command of grammar, punctuation, terminology research, and consistency - Professionalism, discretion, and clarity in written evaluator comments Work Format & Pay - Freelance, paid per test evaluated - Remote and fully project-based - Workload may vary depending on recruitment cycles - You may use your own linguistic tools or QA workflows If you're passionate about quality language work and want to help build a multilingual world rooted in clarity, care, and trust we'd love to hear from you.
