Our 10-year objective: help 10,000 construction firms improve their businesses and lives exponentially. Only apply if you have extensive commercial construction experience. We do not engage in residential construction. Role Summary: As a Fractional Construction COO, you will: • Lead a six-week diagnostic and stand-up of core operations for $10–$20M commercial contractors. • Act as interim COO during engagements, stabilizing execution while assessing. • Deliver a 90-day operating plan, plus 1- and 5-year strategies. • Coach owners, project managers, and teams on execution discipline. Mandate: First 6 Weeks Week 1: Intake and baseline (financials, org mapping, interviews). Weeks 2–3: Deep dive into field operations, finance, preconstruction, systems, and people. Week 4: Synthesis and quick wins. Week 5: Operating system stand-up (cadence, dashboards, SOPs). Week 6: Strategy and handoff (90-day plan, 1- and 5-year roadmap). Deliverables • Written assessment with quantified opportunities. • Org chart with gaps and hiring sequence. • KPI baseline and target ladder. • Risk register and mitigation plan. • SOP inventory and priority build list. • 90-day operating plan. • 1-year and 5-year strategies. Responsibilities • Diagnose and fix operational dysfunction. • Install structure and drive consistency. • Build dashboards and metrics leaders use weekly. • Report weekly to Trampetti CEO with status and blockers. Qualifications • 10+ years of leadership experience in commercial construction operations. • Proven results improving margin, schedule reliability, cash, and rework. • Strong financial acumen (WIP, job costing, forecasting, AP/AR, cash). • Competence with ERP/PM/scheduling and timekeeping platforms. • Process design and documentation expertise. • Hands-on executor: you personally build, configure, and coach. • Clear, direct communicator who delivers accountability. Preferred: • MBA or advanced degree. • Six Sigma Black Belt, PMP, or Predictive Index certification. • Experience with ClickUp, Monday.com, HubSpot, or similar platforms. • Track record with $2.5M–$50M revenue firms. • Familiarity with financial consulting and organizational design. Work Model • Remote delivery with daily interviews and short working sessions. • One onsite visit for workshop and handoff. • Travel required for client workshops and assessments. Compensation • Contract role with flexible schedule. • Monthly retainer commensurate with experience. • Performance-based bonuses tied to measurable client outcomes.
