Job Description:
• Provide technical support for students over an online community forum
• Answer questions around course content over the forum and facilitate content for students who get stuck in learning
• Host one weekly live virtual session to offer direct, real-time support to students.
• Redirect learners to appropriate support channels and escalate issues to the Mentor Operations team when needed
Requirements:
• Fluency in English both written and spoken
• Eligibility Requirements: Mentors must have at least 7 years of industry experience or a master’s degree in the relevant field.
• Strong expertise in Test-Driven Development (TDD), including Pytest, scalable test strategies, and structured test suite design
• Deep understanding of design patterns (creational, structural, behavioral) and their practical implementation in production systems
• Proven experience designing microservices, multitier, cloud-native, and serverless architectures
• Strong knowledge of caching strategies, CDN architecture, and data storage tradeoffs
• Ability to create and interpret architecture diagrams and system design documentation
• Familiarity with distributed systems and machine learning system architectures
• Solid grounding in systems engineering principles, including requirements analysis, validation, and system integration
• Experience working with architectural frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or SysML, and strong understanding of the SDLC
• Experience teaching technical concepts and public speaking, organizing technical talks, or webinars
• Positive character, trusted by the students, creating emotional ties in the group
• Flexibility at their current job to take this challenge part-time as an external contractor
