Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Data Science Analyst to join our Hunt and Suggestions Examination team in Boston. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing large datasets to inform our product recommendation strategy. You will work closely with a high-performing team of experts, including AI engineers, data scientists, and product managers, to develop and implement data-driven solutions that drive business results.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, run, and analyze the results of A/B tests of new recommendation algorithms and systems to identify areas of improvement and optimize our product recommendation strategy.
- Develop and maintain KPI reporting and monitoring tools to track key performance indicators and identify anomalies in our data.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends and patterns in our data and develop new insights to inform our product recommendation strategy.
- Develop and maintain in-house tools and technologies to improve our data analysis and recommendation capabilities, such as our QA instrument to evaluate the performance of new algorithms before A/B testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and AI, to develop and implement data-driven solutions that drive business results.
- Communicate key findings and recommendations to senior leaders across the organization to inform business decisions.
What You'll Need
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as computer science, mathematics, statistics, or economics.
- Experience in data analysis and science, preferably in a web-based business or e-commerce environment.
- Advanced skills in SQL, including query optimization, stored procedures, and data modeling.
- Proficiency in Python and Python libraries, including Jupyter notebooks, pandas, scikit-learn, and matplotlib.
- Experience with A/B testing and statistical analysis to drive business decisions.
- Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and techniques, including decision trees, random forests, and deep learning.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- A proven track record of taking ownership and driving results in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and technical abilities, with the ability to think critically and solve complex problems.
