Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Analytics Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of data entry and business intelligence solutions for our Medical Services Quality Improvement program. As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain data frameworks that enable report automation and support business intelligence initiatives. Your expertise in data analysis, business intelligence, and data warehousing will be essential in driving business insights and informing strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of data entry and business intelligence solutions: Direct the conveyance of Walgreens Healthcare information and insights drives and projects. Uphold long-term and ad-hoc data ETL and data warehousing exercises to meet Walgreens Healthcare reporting and analysis expectations.
- Design and implement data pipelines and data warehouses: Plan, create, and deploy layered data bases and data pipelines to support reporting and analysis projects.
- Develop data governance and quality principles: Make data organizing and pre-handling principles for populating sensible and actual data models attached to report explicit working tables for both project business intelligence and pre-characterized reporting arrangements.
- Apply data extraction, transformation, and loading best practices: Apply data extraction, change, and stacking best practices to coordinate large data sets from different internal Walgreens production framework sources and external records.
- Perform data profiling and analysis: Perform data profiling and analysis across internal production frameworks, physically maintained data, and standard healthcare data sets (e.g., patient qualification, clinical cases, pharmacy claims, HEDIS ECDS documents).
- Develop automation tools: Create internal tools for automation of all development-related activities (data handling, QA, data approval, etc.).
Essential Capabilities
- Hands-on experience in writing and tuning SQL-based ETL/ELT scripts: Evident, hands-on experience recorded as a hard copy and tuning SQL-based ETL/ELT scripts.
- Experience designing and deploying sensibly isolated data conditions: Experience designing and deploying sensibly isolated data conditions utilizing ETL/ELT services that incorporate but are not limited to Blue Information Pipeline, Databricks, or Snowflake.
- Experience leading technical teams and presenting device rationalist semantic information layer upgrades: Experience giving idea leadership and presenting device rationalist semantic information layer upgrades connected with BI innovation stage like PowerBI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills: Solid verbal and written communication skills with technical teams, internal partners, clients, and vendor partners.
- Minimum 2 years of experience contributing to business decisions: At least 2 years of experience adding to business decisions in the workplace.
- Minimum 2 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership, or cross-functional team management: At least 2 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership, or cross-functional team management.
- Ability to travel up to 5% of the ideal time for business purposes: Ready to make a trip up to/no less than 5% of the ideal opportunity for business purposes (inside state and out of state).
Preferred Capabilities
- Data Management Certified Analytics Professional (CAP): Information Management Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) certification.
- Experience with pharmacy, healthcare, and clinical research concepts: Experience with pharmacy, healthcare, and clinical research concepts.
