Position Overview
We're looking for a bright and enthusiastic Math Tutor to join our team. As a Math Tutor, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional instruction and tutoring services to students, participating in positive interactions with parents, and establishing a high level of confidence and program value. This is a part-time role with 3-4 hours shifts Monday - Friday afternoons and Saturday morning.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional instruction and tutoring services to students, tailoring your approach to meet their individual needs and learning styles.
- Participate in positive interactions with parents, establishing a high level of confidence and program value, and keeping them informed about their child's progress.
- Become proficient with digital educational materials and processes, using technology to enhance the learning experience.
- Teach in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method, terminology, and teaching practices, which include individualized instruction in a group setting.
- Assess students' progress throughout instructional sessions, working collaboratively with team members to deliver the best possible experience for students.
- Evaluate, grade, and correct student work and homework, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Support the maintenance of a clean and professional learning environment, adhering to high standards of quality and safety.
- Assist with non-teaching and instructional tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to contribute to the team's success.
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
- A passion for math and working with students, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on their lives.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and team members.
- Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I, with a strong foundation in mathematical concepts and problem-solving.
- Ability to balance various ongoing tasks, demonstrating organizational and time management skills.
- Willingness to learn and be trained, with a commitment to ongoing professional development and growth.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in education or tutoring, with a proven track record of success.
- Familiarity with the Mathnasium Method and teaching practices, or a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Experience working with students of varying ages and skill levels, with a patient and supportive approach.

Flexible Hours:

Compensation and Benefits:
