Job Overview and Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Math Tutor for High School students to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Math Tutor, you will have the opportunity to work with students who require additional support in math, providing homework prep and guidance to help them excel in their studies. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-on-one tutoring sessions to high school students in math, tailored to their individual needs and learning styles
- Creating and implementing effective lesson plans to ensure students achieve their academic goals
- Submitting session reports to our office and families within 24 hours of each tutoring session
- Effectively balancing tutoring hours for each assigned student and managing your schedule to ensure timely and efficient service delivery
- Responding to existing clients' concerns, questions, and requests in a professional and courteous manner
- Following up with our office when a student's enrollment package is low on hours to ensure seamless continuation of services
- Preparing for each tutoring session, including reviewing student progress, updating lesson plans, and adapting your approach as needed
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the education field, with a preference for experience in tutoring or teaching specialized education fields
- A strong understanding of math concepts and the ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to different learning styles and personalities
- Basic database and data entry skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and submit reports in a timely manner
- Reliable transportation, current car insurance, and access to a computer, internet, and smartphone
