Key Responsibilities
- Contribute directly to sales and margin objectives in assigned categories by analyzing relevant data and integrating findings into Category Plans.
- Drive strategic execution of everyday arrangement exercises, including off-rack plans, tracking promotional periods, and performing present analysis to make corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Stock, Estimating, Advancement, Finance, Store Brands, Store Configuration, Advertising, and Store Operations.
- Analyze sales records and inventory levels of current stock to identify opportunities for growth.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of competitive landscape, identifying new opportunities and making recommendations.
- Stay up-to-date with market changes, researching customer item preferences, supplier costs, and the competitive climate.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Working knowledge of retail math concepts and demonstrated application.
- Technical expertise in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and some experience with Access or other database software.
- Willingness to travel 5-10% for business needs.
