Job Summary

We are looking for a creative and high-performing individual to spearhead our development and discovery projects and programs for food protein ingredients. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in Food Chemistry, Enzymology, and Dairy Science or related areas, with a proven track record of leveraging various processing technologies to prepare innovative concept products and create new business opportunities. A rich research experience in the food industry is essential, as is the ability to drive practical product innovations. The successful candidate will also demonstrate high emotional intelligence, with the ability to interact smoothly with colleagues at all levels of the organization.

Primary Responsibilities

• Anticipate Future Trends and Customer Needs: Provide project and/or program proposals with a strategic focus to build the R&D project funnel, anticipating future industrial trends and customer needs.
• Design and Develop Plans: Design and develop plans, proposals, and/or systems to initiate new products and/or improve the manufacturability of existing products.
• Problem-Solving and Solution Development: Recognize problems/bottlenecks, uncover root causes, and promote and drive solutions.
• Project Resource and Research Planning: Lead project resource and research planning, and monitor execution to accomplish project goals.
• Project Execution Progress Monitoring: Monitor project execution progress to accomplish project goals.
• Interdepartmental and Customer Interactions: Coordinate interdepartmental and customer interactions involving technical issues.
• Staff Training and Supervision: Train, direct, supervise, and/or motivate various levels of staff.
• Technical Expertise and Collaboration: Serve as a company technical expert in relationships with external technology collaborators.
• Technical Papers and Presentations: Prepare and present technical papers and presentations for internal and external customers/contacts.
• Patent Strategy Development: Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive patent strategy for projects and/or areas of expertise.
• Safety and Quality Requirements: Adhere to all safety and quality requirements, enhancing site safety.
