Job Overview
We're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our fulfillment team in Austin, TX. As a Pharmacy Technician in Training, you will be responsible for entering prescriptions into our pharmacy filling system, supporting other pharmacy teams, and providing exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities
- Enter prescriptions into pharmacy filling system with high degree of accuracy and efficiency
- Support other pharmacy teams (customer experience, billing, shipping) as needed
- Aid in on-boarding of new customers, including prescription transfers and account setup
- Provide support for customers, taking the time needed to understand each unique customer situation
- Work standard full-time shifts of 10 hours, excluding overtime, and be available to work overtime as required
- Perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, reaching above the head, kneeling, crouching, and/or stretching, as well as lifting and moving products up to 49 lbs. in weight
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need to meet the following essential qualifications:
- Ability to work overtime as required
- Continued meeting or exceeding of department performance goals
- Associates must currently be in good standing
- Must pass the background screening requirements for Amazon Pharmacy
- Must pass background screening requirements for the State of Indiana Licensing Agency
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following preferred qualifications will give you a competitive edge:
- Previous healthcare or pharmacy experience
- Pharmacy Technician certification or willingness to obtain certification
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
