Key Responsibilities
As a Data Entry Specialist at blithequark, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Gathering, organizing, and preparing source documents for data entry into our system database
- Reviewing data for discrepancies, missing pages, or information and resolving discrepancies using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution
- Entering both alphabetic and numeric data from source documents into our system database
- Reviewing data entered against the original source documents for accuracy and correcting any data entry errors or duplications
- Following data program security practices and procedures at all times
- Routinely securing information by completing database backups daily
- Performing other varied clerical duties such as sorting, filing, emailing, and proofreading as required
- Maintaining confidentiality of all personal and financial information at all times and in accordance with regulatory requirements
Essential Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 6 months of related experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
- Experience in a medical office is preferred but not required
- To be tech-savvy and detail-oriented
Required Skills and Competencies
In addition to the essential qualifications, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies:
- Complete knowledge of general computer, fax, copier, scanner, and telephone
- Knowledge of multiple software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and the Internet
- Qualified typist with a minimum of 40 W.P.M.
- Demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness
- Ability to look for ways to improve and promote quality and monitor own work to ensure quality is met
- Exceptional communication skills, including conveying necessary information accurately, listening effectively, and asking questions where clarification is needed
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to demonstrate and promote a positive team-oriented environment
