Position Overview
As a full-time Remote Accounts Payable Specialist at Workwarp, you will play a critical role in managing our AP processes, maintaining strong financial controls, and ensuring accurate and timely payment processing. You will work closely with our Accounting Team to reconcile credit card transactions, resolve discrepancies, and perform account reconciliations and month-end closing procedures. Key Responsibilities
- Process and verify invoices, expense reports, and credit card statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with our financial policies and procedures
- Manage vendor relationships and maintain accurate vendor records, ensuring timely and efficient communication with our suppliers and partners
- Reconcile credit card transactions, identify and resolve discrepancies, and perform account reconciliations to ensure the integrity of our financial data
- Perform month-end closing procedures, including account reconciliations and journal entries, to ensure the timely and accurate completion of our financial statements
- Assist with audits and financial reporting as needed, providing support to our Accounting Team and external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Collaborate with our Accounting Team to identify areas for process improvement, implement changes, and maintain a high level of efficiency and productivity in our AP processes
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a strong foundation in accounting principles and practices
- At least 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role, with a proven track record of managing AP processes, reconciling credit card transactions, and performing account reconciliations
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies and errors in our financial data
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities, with the ability to work effectively with our Accounting Team, vendors, and other stakeholders
- Proficiency in Excel and Google Suite (Mail, Sheets, Drive, etc.), with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems
- Autonomous and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage your time effectively
- Reliable internet access at home and a laptop, with the ability to maintain a secure and efficient home workspace

Preferred Qualifications
