Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced registered nurse to join our Night Shift Telephone Triage team as a Full-time Remote RN. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for providing expert medical advice and support to patients over the phone, working closely with healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination. Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert medical advice and support to patients over the phone, using your clinical knowledge and judgment to assess patient needs and develop effective care plans.
- Work closely with healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination, communicating patient information and treatment plans in a clear and concise manner.
- Use your critical thinking skills to analyze complex patient scenarios, making informed decisions and taking appropriate action to ensure patient safety and well-being.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare providers, providing empathetic and compassionate care that meets the unique needs of each individual.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, guidelines, and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes and enhance the quality of care.
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices that drive patient satisfaction and outcomes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to share knowledge, expertise, and best practices, promoting a culture of teamwork and continuous learning.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- A current, unrestricted multi-state RN license.
- At least 2 years of nursing experience, with a strong background in medical-surgical nursing or a related field.
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in electronic medical records and other healthcare software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations and challenges.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
In addition to the essential qualifications, we're looking for candidates with the following preferred qualifications:
- Bilingual skills in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and families from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
- Experience working in a medical call center or similar environment, with a strong understanding of telephone triage and health information services.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, with a strong understanding of healthcare policies and procedures.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with a willingness to adapt to changing work demands.
