As a Full Stack Financial Accounting and Data Integration Specialist, you will play a critical role in driving the development of our financial systems, processes, and infrastructure.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in financial accounting, data analysis, and business intelligence to join our team. As a Full Stack Financial Accounting and Data Integration Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing comprehensive financial accounting data requirements to facilitate the automation of journal entries, ensuring accuracy, completeness, compliance, and efficiency in financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Technical Accounting, Functional Accounting, Engineering, Product, Finance, Tax, Legal, and other stakeholders to drive key initiatives and improvements
- Develop and design comprehensive accounting data requirements to facilitate the automation of journal entries, ensuring accuracy, completeness, compliance, and efficiency in financial processes
- Lead process improvement initiatives to streamline revenue tasks and shorten the revenue close cycle
- Monitor data quality of journal entries prepared via the Revenue Subledger and design Data Quality checks for identified use cases
- Work with the Product and Engineering teams to continuously improve our daily Revenue Reconciliation process and manage reconciliation investigations
- Review new product plans and assess their impact on existing or new accounting requirements for the Revenue Subledger
- Perform monthly revenue accounting close responsibilities, including GAAP revenue analysis, cost of revenue analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses and projects as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications:
Essential Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in revenue accounting, data analysis, and business intelligence
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, ASC 606 Revenue Recognition, and IFRS
- Intermediate to advanced SQL skills and ability to work with large volumes of transactional data
- Proficiency in Python is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing environments
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage with all levels of management and cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with financial planning and analysis, financial modeling, and forecasting
- Knowledge of data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
- Experience with cloud-based financial systems and technologies
- Certifications in accounting or finance, such as CPA or CFA
