Job Summary

We are looking for an entry-level Data Scientist who is passionate about data and analytics, with a desire to dive deep into details and the ability to survey the higher perspective. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of modeling techniques and the ability to work in a team as well as individually. The ideal candidate will be able to extract insights from large volumes of data and clearly communicate valuable triggers and suggestions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute solutions to business problems using data analysis, data mining, optimization tools, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques
• Continuously develop and demonstrate advanced analytical techniques
• Possess strong analytical skills and be comfortable with owning data and working from concept through to execution
• Understand a business problem and the available data, and identify what analysis and modeling techniques can be applied to answer a business question
• Work with large datasets and perform complex data analysis to identify patterns and trends
• Develop and maintain predictive models using machine learning algorithms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven solutions
• Communicate complex quantitative analysis and algorithms in a clear, concise, and meaningful way

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, or Computer Science
• At least 2+ years of experience in data analysis, machine learning, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of one or both of R or Python programming languages
• Experience working with large datasets and performing complex data analysis
• Understanding of predictive and machine learning techniques such as logistic regression, decision trees, random forests, and neural networks
• Proficiency in using database querying tools and writing complex queries and procedures using Teradata SQL or Microsoft T-SQL
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, or MBA
• Experience working with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or NoSQL databases
• Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
