About the Role
As a Data Scientist in our Advertising Platforms Data Insights team, you'll play a crucial role in developing and implementing data-driven solutions to optimize our advertising platforms. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze large datasets, identify trends, and create actionable insights that inform business decisions. Your expertise in machine learning, data analysis, and data visualization will help us improve the user experience, drive app discovery, and increase advertiser engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and correlations that inform business decisions
- Develop and implement machine learning models to optimize advertising platforms and improve user experience
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute experiments, analyze results, and drive business outcomes
- Communicate complex data insights and recommendations to stakeholders, including product managers, engineers, and business leaders
- Work with data engineers to design and implement data pipelines, data warehousing solutions, and data visualization tools
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data science and machine learning
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
- At least 2 years of experience in a data science or related role, preferably in the advertising or tech industry
- Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and experience with AWS, Snowflake, and data visualization tools
- Experience with machine learning algorithms, including regression, clustering, and time-series analysis
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
- Experience with data warehousing principles, data base modeling, and data governance
- Familiarity with modern data architectures, including cloud-based solutions and containerization
- Experience with A/B experimentation, clickstream data analysis, and user behavior modeling
- Knowledge of Apple's advertising platforms, including App Store, Apple News, Stocks, and Apple TV
