Job Expectations and Responsibilities
As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining courteous, professional contact with co-workers, customers, vendors, and the community.
- Ensuring a neat appearance and good personal hygiene in compliance with blithequark's image standards.
- Supporting and following established safety, security, quality guidelines, and company policies.
- Preserving the safety of self, fellow employees, and others in the work location.
- Ensuring food safety hygiene in accordance with county regulations.
- Following federal law and company standards on carding customers for age-restricted products.
- Working professionally with vendors and contractors.
- Maintaining regular and punctual attendance.
Essential Functions
To excel in this role, you'll need to:
- Provide exceptional guest service, greeting and thanking customers while making eye contact.
- Conduct point-of-sale activities accurately and safely.
- Maintain cash drawer and secure funds in the safe.
- Perform consistent station cleaning and ensure food and hot beverage products are prepared to high standards.
- Actively promote store specials and other marketing programs.
- Cross-check price of delivered goods for accuracy and distribute them in an orderly manner.
- Observe local law requirements in activating and filling vehicle fuel tanks.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you should:
- Be available to work a variety of hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Possess strong attention to detail and exceptional judgment.
- Be able to work both independently and in team settings.
- Have required up-to-date food handling certificates, as necessary.
- Have cooking/restaurant experience, preferred.

Physical Demands and Requirements
This role requires:
- The ability to stand and walk for long periods on hard and uneven surfaces.
- The ability to bend, lift, push, and move product using proper lifting techniques.
- Constant standing, bending, and reaching with moderate manual dexterity.
- Periodic exposure to outdoor conditions and moderate exposure to walk-in coolers and freezers.
- Frequent handwashing and attention to personal cleanliness standards.
