Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Front End Pharmacy Technician to join our team at arenaflex. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity working the 2nd shift from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM.
A Day in the Life
As a Front End Pharmacy Technician at arenaflex, your day will be filled with a variety of tasks and responsibilities that are crucial to the medication dispensing process in our closed-door pharmacy. Your primary focus will be on performing order entry tasks, collaborating with other team members to ensure accuracy, and providing exceptional customer service. Additional responsibilities include:
- Triage customer service requests by department, urgency, and information/response required
- Calculate and/or verify correct dosage based on prescriptions
- Assist in reviewing narcotic prescriptions to ensure they are processed in a timely manner
- Provide dispensing pharmacists with critical information regarding allergies, drug interactions, therapeutic duplications, and other items flagged by the computer
- Create and maintain accurate customer records

Required Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Certification, licensure, or registration as a pharmacy technician, or as required by state law
- One or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following skills and experiences are preferred:
- Prior experience in the long-term care industry
- PTCB National Certification
- Verifiable High School Diploma or GED
