I am a solo family law attorney seeking an experienced family law paralegal for a short paid trial project, with the potential for ongoing remote work.
This is not an entry-level role. I am looking for someone who can handle family law tasks with minimal supervision, exercise good judgment, and deliver clean, professional work product.
Typical responsibilities may include:
- Organizing and summarizing mandatory financial disclosures
- Drafting Sworn Financial Statements, Certificates of Compliance, Parenting Plans, and routine pleadings based on existing templates.
- Preparing case materials for hearings
- Drafting client communications
- Managing family law workflows in a small-firm environment
Availability Requirement:
- Approximately 15 hours per week
- Availability in half-day blocks (e.g., mornings or afternoons)
- Consistent weekday availability preferred
- This role is best suited for someone who prefers focused, predictable work blocks rather than sporadic, task-by-task assignments.
Requirements:
- Prior U.S.-based family law paralegal experience
- Comfortable drafting and formatting documents in Microsoft Word
- Experience using Clio, Dropbox, and Lexis AI
- Experience working remotely for a solo or small law firm preferred
- Able to work independently and ask thoughtful questions when needed
Trial Engagement:
- This role will begin with a small paid trial project (1–2 hours). If it’s a good fit on both sides, there is potential for ongoing work at approximately 15 hours per week.
