Job Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining arenaflex's data storage conditions, ensuring data backups, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing ongoing suggestions and best practices to the team. This role requires a deep understanding of enterprise data storage systems, including NAS, SAN, and DAS conditions, as well as the ability to articulate and demonstrate expertise across different platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a broad understanding of enterprise data storage systems and technologies
- Implement and maintain enterprise backup and data security technologies
- Efficiently manage and monitor reporting platforms and software
- Define and implement trend storage design strategies, based on industry standards and best practices
- Interface and communicate with application, database, server, and other technology teams on architecture and configuration selection, to ensure suitable storage technology and design
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills to adapt and prioritize tasks in a continually changing workplace
- Contribute clear and concise documentation for both routine and irregular tasks
- Provide technical support and guidance on complex activities like installation, configuration, and backup/restore operations for all systems
- Perform code updates and security patching to maintain the integrity of storage systems
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (a combination of training, work experience, and education may be considered)
- At least 3 years of experience in data storage or a related field, with an emphasis on networking and storage protocols
- Industry knowledge and experience with large-scale SAN design and implementation
- Proven expertise in enterprise storage administration, with skill in DellEMC, Cisco, and similar OEMs
- A strong understanding of current and emerging data protection technologies
- Experience with NAS concepts and protocols (CIFS, NFS, and S3)
- Knowledge of data synchronization technologies for both SAN and NAS
- Operating system administration skills (both Linux and Windows)
- VMWare concepts and administration
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Additional certifications in data storage or related fields
- Experience with cloud-based storage solutions
- Knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts
