Key Responsibilities
As an Early Intervention Behavior Technician with Key Autism Services, you'll play a vital role in delivering ABA therapy to children with autism in the comfort of their own homes. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-on-one (1:1) in-home ABA therapy sessions to children with autism
- Collecting behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions to inform treatment plans
- Conducting discrete trials, implementing behavior support plans, and treatment plans under the guidance of a BCBA Supervisor
- Collaborating with BCBA Supervisors to implement basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy
- Responding to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors in a professional and timely manner
- Maintaining a goal-oriented approach and professionalism in all aspects of your work
- Arriving on time and being prepared for therapy sessions
Essential Qualifications
To succeed as an Early Intervention Behavior Technician with Key Autism Services, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's Degree or be working towards your degree in a related field (Psychology, Education, or Sociology) - not required but preferred
- 1 year of experience working with children in a 1:1 setting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A personal means of transportation with a reliable vehicle
- The ability to lift up to 35lbs and perform activities that entail fine and gross motor skills
- Willingness and ability to work in both indoor and outdoor settings
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-year ABA experience
- Experience working as a Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Teacher's Assistant, or ABA Tutor in a school or home setting
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
