Job Overview
As a Senior Information Examiner, you will play a critical role in supporting the Subscriber Tasks capability within the Data Analysis group. Your primary responsibility will be to help measure subscriber adjustments across the Disney Streaming portfolio, including Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, and Star+. You will work closely with our upstream messaging partners to ensure accurate delivery of subscription change messaging, including price increases, subscriber arrangements, and new data being collected.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage data entry and document requirements related to subscriber messaging drives (including price increases, subscriber arrangements, and new data being collected) and incident remediation (ensuring that the right clients receive refunds when required)
- Develop queries based on required business logic, sometimes legally committing, to determine accurate companions of subscribers for messaging and/or remediation
- Communicate business requirements to technical teams and provide concise summaries of technical progress or potential detours to business stakeholders
- Develop strong knowledge of subscriber adjustments and the technical system that underlies subscriber data
- Manage project planning and timelines and facilitate cross-functional delivery to ensure readiness for significant business events
- Drive alignment across Data, Business Operations, and Finance through the development of strong communication processes and operational playbooks
- In collaboration with Data Product and Data Quality Engineering, contribute to the design of robust reporting solutions that minimize data incidents
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- 2+ years of work experience developing in SQL, particularly in an ETL processing pipeline
- 2+ years of analytical experience
- Proven ability to convey technical and/or analytical concepts to a wide range of audiences
- Knowledge of Python/R or other statistical programming languages
- Knowledge of data analysis and data visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, Chartio, etc.
- Strong interpersonal skills, as well as written and verbal presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Experience working in a remote or virtual team environment
- Knowledge of Disney's streaming services and products
- Experience with data entry and document management systems
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
