Key Responsibilities
- Gather data requirements and design data pipelines to meet business needs
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines using SQL, Python, and other relevant technologies
- Design and implement database schema, tables, and views to support business applications
- Develop and maintain automated workflows and data processing schedules
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and integrity
- Provide technical expertise and support to stakeholders on data-related matters
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to improve our data engineering practices
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and maintenance
- Proven expertise in Python and SQL, with experience working with Snowflake and PostgreSQL
- Experience with developing in a multi-environment (Dev, QA, Prod, etc.) and DEVOP practices for code management/development
- Strong understanding of relational database design and functionality
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following skills and experiences will be highly regarded:
- Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, preferably cloud-based (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks)
- Knowledge of cloud architecture and product offerings, preferably AWS
