About the Role
As a Data Analytics Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for leading go-to-market strategies and business plays, managing campaigns, and providing valuable feedback to Product and Global Solutions teams to inform our product roadmap. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions that leverage Google Cloud's data analytics capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and Maintain Executive Relationships: Foster strong connections with clients as a data analytics expert, influencing long-term strategic direction for new and existing clients, as well as Google Cloud Field Specialists (FSRs) and Client Engineers (CEs).
- Develop and Execute Strategic Account Plans: Create comprehensive account plans, including territory plans across key industries, with a focus on building and growing accounts.
- Identify and Articulate Business Value: Help clients identify suitable use cases for Google Cloud data and analytics solutions, articulating key solution differentiators and quantifiable business impacts.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with Google Accounts and Technical teams to develop pipelines and provide expertise to create effective Go-To-Market (GTM) initiatives with Google Cloud Platform partners.
- Drive Business Growth: Align the business against targets and key outcomes to accurately assess the state of the business for the domain.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- At least 2 years of experience in advancing analytics, data warehousing, or data management software.
- Experience working with architects or client technical prompts to build business cases and accompanying plans for implementation.
- Proven track record of planning, pitching, and deploying an end-to-end sales system.
- Experience working with business and legal agreements with Procurement, Legal, and Business teams.
Preferred Qualifications
To stand out in this role, you will ideally have:
- Experience with data analytics technology stack (e.g., Business Intelligence, Predictive Analytics, Hadoop/Flash Data lakes, Columnar Data Warehouses, Data Streaming, ETL, and Data governance).
- Familiarity with market-leading Business Intelligence (BI) front-end, data analytics middleware, or back-end data warehouse technologies.
- Knowledge of Google Cloud Data and Analytics offerings (e.g., BigQuery, Looker, Dataproc, Beam/Sub, etc.).
- Ability to design, pitch, and execute an end-to-end sales and client transformation strategy aligned to data and analytics.
