We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Customer Service Representative to join our team as a remote Customer Advocate Phone Specialist. Key Responsibilities
- Identify, research, process, resolve, and respond to customer inquiries and correspondence via telephone, written communication, and/or in-person, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
- Act as a Member Advocate, explaining various information concerning blithequark's services, including contract benefits, changes in coverage, eligibility, claims, programs, provider networks, and more.
- Answer a high volume of health insurance-related customer calls and correspondence daily, meeting quality, quantity, and timeliness standards to achieve individual and department performance goals.
- Document and record facts regarding inquiries and correspondence by updating blithequark files and systems, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Demonstrate and maintain current working knowledge of required blithequark systems, procedures, forms, and manuals, staying abreast of industry developments and best practices.
- Perform all other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the customer service team and blithequark's mission.
Essential Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 1 year of external Customer Service Experience, preferably in the health insurance industry or a related field.
- Intermediate skill in using office equipment, including copiers, fax machines, scanners, and telephones.
- Detailed-oriented, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy, navigate multiple computer systems and software programs, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish, with the opportunity to earn an additional $1 per hour Bilingual Premium.
- Previous experience in a remote or call center environment, with a proven track record of providing exceptional customer service and meeting performance goals.
- Knowledge of health insurance products, services, and networks, with the ability to explain complex information in a clear and concise manner.
