Job Overview
We're seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Customer Service Representative to join our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team on a part-time basis. As a CVS Virtual Remote team member, you'll play a critical role in providing top-notch phone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug treatments. This role offers a competitive salary of $26/hour and the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and handle new patient prescription orders and reorders, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Verify and refresh benefits, communicate with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve any issues or concerns.
- Assist patients with interpreting and entering new or reorder prescriptions into our pharmacy data system.
- Collect copay amounts, obtain authorizations, and facilitate communication between patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers.
- Monitor, identify, resolve, and adjudicate orders with financial or clinical issues, ensuring seamless processing and patient satisfaction.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, empathizing with patients and internal partners to meet financial and clinical expectations.
Essential Qualifications
- One year of experience in a client support role, handling and resolving complex customer needs via telephone.
- One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office, web browsers, and email applications.
- One year of PC keyboarding experience, with demonstrated skills and fitness.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Six months of experience resolving complex customer needs via telephone.
- Healthcare work experience and knowledge of benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology.
