**The Role**
As a Customer Engineer - Windows Server Platforms, you'll be responsible for delivering proactive services such as education workshops, assessments, and expert guidance to our clients. You'll work closely with our clients to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions that meet their goals. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping our clients to improve their software development processes, enhance their use of technology, and achieve their business objectives.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Deliver proactive services such as education workshops, assessments, and expert guidance to our clients.
* Train customers and share industry and development expertise.
* Participate in a thriving developer community that's constantly looking for ways to improve our customers' experience, software development goals, and use of technology.
* Build strong customer relationships and ensure deliveries align with customer projects and milestones.
* Gain access to expertise and support from our consulting practice and product group.
* Maintain and extend accreditations and certifications, assist in developing best practices for key technologies and products to support technical team readiness.
* Demonstrate strong communication skills; ability to develop strategic ongoing customer relationships, and gain trust and respect for client's Premier.
* Engineers must also possess strong technical writing, presentation, and training skills.
**Requirements**
* Technical experience with hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, and technology management.
* 8+ years experience with customer-facing roles in systems architecture, administration, operations, software support, IT consulting, on-premises and cloud support or consulting for enterprise and/or government customer base, and advanced troubleshooting, and understanding of Modern IT Architecture and Strategy.
* Azure knowledge:
+ IaaS platform (networking, storage, etc.)
+ Infrastructure as Code
+ Governance
+ Azure Migrate
+ Well-Architected Framework
+ Cloud Adoption Framework
* Broad knowledge of on-premises products with deep understanding of the following:
+ Windows Server (Windows Server 2012 R2-2025 = advanced to expert level)
+ Virtualization (Hyper-V, VMWare, Azure VMWare Services, Azure Stack HCI)
+ Windows Client (Windows 10/11 - advanced to expert level)
+ Patching/Windows Update
+ Networking
+ Storage
+ Failover Clustering
+ Windows Performance
+ Blue Screen/kernel debugging
+ PowerShell (scripting, automation, and DSC)
+ RDS
+ WVD
* Proven track record in successfully planning, deploying, operating, and optimizing on-premises environments
* Windows and Azure certifications
**Salary and Benefits**
