Job Summary

As an Environmental Specialist - Cleaning and Maintenance Expert, you will play a critical role in maintaining the overall look and feel of our store. You will be responsible for ensuring that our store is clean, safe, and well-maintained, providing an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the overall cleanliness and recovery standards of the store, ensuring that it meets our Brand Promises.
• Deliver friendly and exceptional customer service, assisting customers in finding what they need and providing a positive shopping experience.
• Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
• Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
• Move equipment and products for proper cleaning and place products back in their correct placement.
• Clean assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment.
• Prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications.
• Deep clean key areas of the store, including bathrooms, breakrooms, entryways, and high-traffic areas.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and notify supervisors of supply needs in advance.
• Seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete tasks.
• Complete all tasks assigned by supervisors.
• Perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state, and county guidelines.
• Maintain positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers.
• Project a positive image and serve as a role model for other team members.

Additional Responsibilities

• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience.
• Execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on the benefits of our Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
• Assist with Omni-channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
• Participate in the truck unloading, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

• Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to remain standing for long periods.
• Ability to move throughout the store, with regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
• Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a retail environment.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and protocols.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Work Environment and Culture

As an Environmental Specialist, you may be required to work in a frame shop with glass cutters and heat presses, and some outdoor work may be assigned.
