About the position
Responsibilities
• Responsible for the testing, operation, and maintenance of paint detackification systems.
• Perform a variety of chemical tests and document results daily.
• Learn how to adjust chemistry to maintain and restore the process.
• Optimize separation equipment to assist in the removal of paint waste.
• Work on repairing chemical feed pumps and other application equipment.
• Document chemicals used for inventory and cost control.
• Take inventory, check chemical levels, and change drums/totes as needed.
• Run jars for each system and jar test as needed.
• Adjust feed rates of pumps as needed.
Requirements
• 0-3 years of experience.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Familiarity with quality systems concepts.
• Knowledge of basic IT tools (e.g., MS Office).
• Ability to work rotating shifts and weekends when necessary.
• Physical capability to work on feet for extensive periods.
• Ability to handle a messy/dirty job.
